It all started in 2014, Belgium got its first Tiki Bar when Tom Neijens opened The Drifter in Ghent. Originally a more classic oriented bartender, Tom got inspired after having his first decent Junglebird.
Tom realized that, when using all homemade and fresh ingredients, you can take Tiki drinks to another level. Using more modern techniques like fat-washing and vacuum-infusions, it showed possibilities for creativity to flow.
9 years later, we are a steady force in the Belgian cocktail scene, known for both classic Tiki and more experimental drinks.
